Going onto the web site and to: http://www.freebsd.org/ports gives you a search option to search the ports. In turn, searching for "tripwire" will give you a *brief* description: tripwire-1.2 File system security and verification program Maintained by: jgreco@ns.sol.net Also listed in: net Description : Sources : Changes : Download Following the link labeled "Description" will in turn get you, in this case, two paragraphs of information.
