(this is probably a newbie question) I keep updating my
/usr/ports with 'cvsup /etc/cvsup/ports-supfile' but
the java/eclipse port remains stubbornly at 2.1.3.

Am I doing something wrong, or has it simply not been
released to the main ports tree as yet? If the latter,
is there any feel for when it would be likely to become
mainstream?

(I'm using Eclipse 3 on a windows box, and hoping to
be able to migrate across to the FreeBSD box without
having to deal with also learning the differences in
Eclipse version.)
