I'm using FreeBSD 4.11 Stable. I installed lang/perl5.8 from my ports tree. Yet when I do a "perl -V" it reports "Perl 5.0 patchlevel 5 subversion 3". I have another port that needs perl to be at least 5.6.x and it refuses to install. Since I didn't find anything in the archives about this, what am I doing wrong? Thanks, Jim Campbell
