I have a couple of years old Gateway computer I installed FreeBSD on. It came with a P4 2.26GHz CPU (which it recognizes correctly), but when I check out /var/boot/dmesg.today I see the following: real memory = 536608768 (511 MB) avail memory = 519630848 (495 MB) Does this mean it's only recognizing about 512MB of RAM, or am I interpreting it wrong? -- Robert G.
