It will mark your swap as a dumpdev. At the boot time /etc/rc.d/dumpon will be started automatically (if "dumpdev" is set). After system crash the kernel memory dump will be saved to the dempdev and after reboot dump will be extracted from the swap into dumpdir by the savecore. -- WBR, Andrey V. Elsukov
