Especially after upgrading 'xorg-server' you have to rebuild nvidia-driver. Personally I prefer to deinstall nvidia-driver before updating xorg-server and then install nvidia-driver again. This restores the previously renamed glx files from xorg-server to original names ... Rainer Hurling
