I'm okay with that. This would not be the first GPLv3 port in the tree (see GCC 4.3). If someone complains that their binary links to a GPLv3 library, we can evaluate how to proceed with that. I am reminded of Gaim linking to OpenSSL. The Gaim people complained, and we removed the code. No bad blood.
