PATH is exactly the same on all systems, LD_LIBRARY_PATH etc. do not exist.

Because I have no skills in tracing and debugging linux binaries I first 
have to read a lot. So this could take a while ...

Am I right that devel/linux_kdump is the meant instead of kdump? And 
where do I find linux_ktrace?
