[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi Ariff, Thanks! Now it seems to compile successfully , but doesn't seem to work for me for some reason - the pcm0 device is not detected at boot time. I have attached the dmesg, but it just doesn't show any pcm0. What's strange to me is that kldstat shows that both modules are loaded: todorov-bsd-laptop# kldstat Id Refs Address Size Name 1 3 0xffffffff80100000 87afc8 kernel 2 1 0xffffffff8097b000 37cd8 sound.ko 3 1 0xffffffff93ea1000 1e19 snd_atiixp.ko todorov-bsd-laptop# Maybe you know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance. P.S: i can see sth strange in the dmesg: pci0: <multimedia> at device 20.2 (no driver attached) is that supposed to be the sound device? :) Regards, Angel On 12/18/05, Ariff Abdullah <skywizard@mybsd.org.my> wrote: > > On Sun, 18 Dec 2005 13:51:45 +0200 > Angel Todorov <attodorov@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi Ariff, > > > > Thanks for the reply.
