I am not sure if my message <5231A016.7060906@FreeBSD.org> was intercepted by NSA and didn't reach you... At least I haven't seen any reaction to it. So, ZFS does not need this band-aid. If you think that it may be needed for other filesystems or is useful in general, then okay.
