Closing log file. X.Org isn't the culprit here ("Server terminated successfully"). I guess the window manager exited (normally or not, I don't know) and the X server exited because your .xinitrc script quit after the windows manager= =2E You could use the following command from X (after restarting X) to see if a program displayed an error on the console: vidcontrol -H -P </dev/ttyv0 Or you can add it to the end of your .xinitrc script and log the output to a file. The "drmDropMaster failed" error isn't important here: xserver always tries to set master/drop master when VT-switching, but we don't support that feature yet. --=20 Jean-S=E9bastien P=E9dron --UEqxI7vDkQaWxiN1LiUoDe7ABMh9uFTvV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (FreeBSD) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQJ8BAEBCgBmBQJTAmHrXxSAAAAAAC4AKGlzc3Vlci1mcHJAbm90YXRpb25zLm9w ZW5wZ3AuZmlmdGhob3JzZW1hbi5uZXQ2NzA4N0ZEMUFFQUUwRTEyREJDNkE2RjAz OUU5OTc2MUE1RkQ5NENDAAoJEDnpl2Gl/ZTMI3IP/2w/YJkBAZFjUbwht8I+KOwX sjyDNH7AeT1DjX6vr9OJN7t/vDPk5M3U/zSPArR8k6RCfTY8EA7G9zDjVzKe0HJt oMHzct/2vk4dLoS2d5CpbPdevcBxUZTSAK8eXf7tfeotbw9gSu9aIQfRViEtFJ5a 1Nu4/YlGB9tkXOod+ewlOA9wYB/xCrribISetq48BNag7jXIb9VlfVSMEIoagyhq 3D0YhVkl2eq7FBwE4+R9ZbQI3/SAoJVT2SMgLsY56VjB1zlPoIFAD2FQblMWn9LY 4hu0878/n81iDyyurzgG+RjaiJ15ifEUFsNCwI4L9mEJrK5i5dzllx/p9/WnlmfC 7fJW2aMI9Gw1IqAr5MzUFPdtI018jnnJYmUzyu4D83l9kTpY+onatu3i90QakE/I 6tNf1Jm0mHnv7G29Pw2do+aquBruAQySYVYFqWEKUXWDELLHIB8ToJa8bGG0fFoC XZlQiXe65frdCiG/D6srkTVhSFPoRanOXVo+wfw7CjG9d2EOjyUfhyQqmzMMBSBp qqPuDM9mwO3EzT1YNH+NjrxMbUs4SnBnWu6gWVqm8jA0r0wg6RuEkG7XowFCeyNI 2XkquRZ8fNyUbz7Dzifs6rw3ePlZXUuuXW92Wm7Bvx9w0DLO0t8f8aORMUZJFKGu maQu/icYAWavDe/IDDPm =cBtR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --UEqxI7vDkQaWxiN1LiUoDe7ABMh9uFTvV--
