I'm not even subscribed to ports-developers@ -- haven't even heard of
the list, to be honest. For two decades ports remained a single branch
-- a change of this magnitude should, perhaps, have been communicated to
each maintainer (via certified mail, return-receipt requested).

Anyway, is there a documentation page describing this new procedure
somewhere? Thanks!
