The following is a hand typed panic from my consol: pccard1: Allocation failed for cfe 0 ata2: <IBM microdrive> at port 0x140-0x14f irq 11 function 0 config 1 on pccard1 ata2: [MPSAFE] GEOM: create disk ad4 dp=0xc2461c60 ad4: 10277MB <IBM-DSCM-11000> [2088/16/63] at ata2-master PIO2 GEOM: destroy disk ad4 dp=0xc2461c60 ad4: WARNING - removed from configuration pccard1: Allocated resource not found, 4 1 140 10 ata2: detached Memory modified after free 0xc2461c00(252) val=c29af600 @ 0xc2461c34 panic: Most recently used by AD driver cpuid = 0; Debugger("panic") Stopped at Debugger+0x55: xchgl %ebx,in_Debugger.0 db> where [...] I am not going to leave the debugger until I hopefully get a reply with some further instructions. I have seen this error in the past but failled to get a good vmcore for gdb. The situation is this: I am developing freebsd images for a Net4501 on a dell laptop (cpi P2), and I am inserting, and ejecting various CF media (IBM micro drives, and typical San Disk's). At the time of the panic I had ejected my Microdrive aproxamatly 20 to 30 minutes prior from the laptop's pcmcia slot. The laptop was also working as a remote serrial term for the soekris board, but that likely has nothing to do with the panic (just covering my bases here). This is a Kernel/world from the day after 5.2-beta appeared in cvs. Somebody else working with CF media see this? __ __ _ | \/ | __ _ ___| |_ __ _ | |\/| |/ _` / __| __/ _` | | | | | (_| \__ \ || (_| | |_| |_|\__,_|___/\__\__,_| unzip ; strip ; touch ; finger ; mount ; fsck ; more ; yes ; umount ; sleep masta@wifibsd.org http://wifibsd.org
