On my pentium 166 with a 1.6 gig hard drive I was able to install freebsd 2.2.2 and run it with 48 Meg of memory with no problems. and when I try to install it with a 500 meg hard drive on the same system. I get the bug that has been reported with the 2.2.2 install. "panic: double fault" Has any looked at the possiblity that the problem is also related to the size of the hard drive.
