Just a quick feature request for portupgrade/portinstall. It seems that the -c/-C options are based on the whole set of installs so there is no cleaning done inbetween dependency installations. A problem occurs for some large meta-ports such as gnome2 or XFree86 which take quite a lot of disk space to build. I would suggest adding an option that would allow a clean before and/or after each dependency was installed as to minimize the maximum disk space used during installation of such large ports. --roop
