You can try to change line 2510 of emu10kx.c=20 (http://fxr.watson.org/fxr/source/dev/sound/pci/emu10kx.c#L2510) to=20 emumix_set_mode(sc, MODE_ANALOG); You should get silence on center/sub instead of digital 'noise'.
