Anyway, the very high rates of packet loss you report suggest a physical link-layer problem: can you try swapping out ethernet cables or try using another hub for testing? Also, what does "netstat -i" show-- any significant number of errors or collisions (not that the latter should be present if using a switch), but something is going wrong.... -- -Chuck
