I installed PostgreSQL 8.0.1 from ports, and now I'd like to control it with the RC scripts. I wasn't able to run initdb with the scripts, I had to do that manually with the regular initdb command. Now I've got the db dir as /usr/local/pgsql/data, which is what it looks like pgsql expects, but the scripts still won't start it or stop it. They don't produce any output either. Any ideas on what to do?
