Ok but how make it work in a xterm or even on the console? I have
colors but I would like alignment too :-)
I have
$ ./colorls -G
CVS colorls ls.1 ls.o stat_flags.o
Makefile colorls.1 ls.c print.c util.c
Makefile.orig colorls.1.gz ls.c.orig print.c.orig util.o
cmp.c colorls.1.orig ls.h print.o
cmp.o extern.h ls.h.orig stat_flags.c
where ls gives me
$ ls
CVS colorls ls.1 ls.o stat_flags.o
Makefile colorls.1 ls.c print.c util.c
Makefile.orig colorls.1.gz ls.c.orig print.c.orig util.o
cmp.c colorls.1.orig ls.h print.o
cmp.o extern.h ls.h.orig stat_flags.c
