Not to mention that the symlinks make it easy to have a newer /usr/include/* than rest of system -- what happens when you "make world", then cvs update /usr/src but don't "make world"? You're going to end up with includes in /usr/include that don't agree with your world. (I admit that it's a little weird to update /usr/src and not make world, but it's so easy to make it not be a problem...) Bill
