Why bother with a wrapper? You have the source of mail.local at hand. See /usr/src/contrib/sendmail/mail.local/ for that, and /usr/include/sysexits.h for possible exit codes you can use. The next time you post to a mailing list, could you take the trouble to trim the quotes a bit? You make threads fairly unfollowable. TIA. -- Niels.
