The JDK is the Java development kit, not the runtime environment, look for JRE I think or something like that.. -----Original Message----- From: Gabriel Mains To: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Sent: 1/10/00 7:34 PM Subject: No Java Runtime Environment When I try to do a workstation install of StarOffice 5.1a it gives me a window that says: No Java Runtime Environment was found that can be used with StarOffice and then it gives me a coice to either have it install with no java or javascript support or to locate by myself. Well, I have installed JDK 1.8 from the ports dir with still no luck. What do I have to do? I am running FreeBSD 3.4.
