Andrew,

I have one of these running -stable without any problems.  My setup is a
bit different: I don't have 2GB of RAM and I'm only using the internal
storage (ie. I don't have a Smart Array 5302-128 board).  I originally
installed from a 4.7 CD and have cvsup'd to -stable.

Do you have the BIOS set to Hyperthreading Enabled?  Can you send me the
output of 'mptable -verbose' and 'pciconf -lv'?  Also, what is the date
of your BIOS?
