iostat -Ixd dev0 [dev1 ..]

Gives from-boot cumulative values; these can be shoved (with minimal
awk processing) into Zabbix and pre-processed to "change per second"
on the Zabbix server. Read/write ops/bytes as well as some other
interesting stats.
