That's a most curious failure mode... if you got to the point where
we're bringing up lo0, it should have either been fine or blown up
terribly in an obvious way -- I'll reimage tomorrow-ish based on the
latest snapshot and see if I can reproduce.

In the meantime, can you post a transcript of the boot?
