This blog post may help you...http://blog.hostileadmin.com/2012/05/04/pxe-booting-into-a-freebsd-installation/ In the grub2pxe Configuration section, you can see that the kernel and "initrd" (or mfsroot) images are variable-ized (if that's a word). Perhaps you could use a similar approach to accomplish the same. Obviously, in that post, Grub2pxe replaced FreeBSD's pxeboot.bs and was chained to pxelinux. -- Take care Rick Miller
