If you want something more recent, you will need to edit the config file (/etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf) to use "latest" repo. I believe that url: "pkg+ http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/${ABI}/latest" should do the trick. More of concern is why svn is not working. What does "svn info /usr/ports" show? "svn status /usr/ports"? I and assure you that pkg-1.6.1 IS in svn. I have it and built and installed it earlier today. You can confirm what is in the repo by checking out the web interface: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/ports/head/ports-mgmt/pkg/. -- Kevin Oberman, Part time kid herder and retired Network Engineer E-mail: rkoberman@gmail.com PGP Fingerprint: D03FB98AFA78E3B78C1694B318AB39EF1B055683
