That's a little more disturbing. As to the audio issue, I've been having a similar issue for some time, especially with Firefox using any of the available audio systems. Works best with OSS. What I hear is not popping, but brief dropouts which I perceived as pops. It sounds a lot like data rate mismatch where the audio is output at a slightly faster rate than it is input. As a result, the buffers empty periodically and you hear a fraction of a second of silence. This is not an Alder Lake issue as it's been hitting me on my Comet Lake processor. > > --00000000000005048505e6b07eaf Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"auto">

<div class=3D"gmail_quote"><div dir=3D"ltr" = class=3D"gmail_attr">On Sat, Aug 20, 2022, 11:14 Amar Takhar <<a href=3D= "mailto:verm@darkbeer.org">verm@darkbeer.org> wrote:

<block= quote class=3D"gmail_quote" style=3D"margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc= solid;padding-left:1ex">I've run into this in my situation some BIOs u= pdates cause constant reboots
especially when playing video.=C2=A0 I also have serious audio issues with = continous
popping that I've been unable to solve there is a ticket for that as we= ll:

=C2=A0 <a href=3D"https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D26338= 5#add_comment" rel=3D"noreferrer noreferrer" target=3D"_blank">https://bugs= .freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D263385#add_comment

I'll give CURRENT A shot again in the next day or two to see if this is= all
fixed thanks for the update!

Amar.

<div dir=3D"auto">

<div dir=3D"a= uto">Wow!
