Hello list. The Handbook (FreeBSD 9.2) contains bug for "18.13.1. Configuring the System to Enable Disk Quotas". ... Before using disk quotas, quota support must be added to the kernel by adding the following line to the kernel configuration file: options QUOTA The GENERIC kernel does not have this enabled by default, so a custom kernel must be compiled in order to use disk quotas.... .. But: Quota support is by default in GENERIC. options UFS_GJOURNAL # Enable gjournal-based UFS journal= ing options QUOTA # Enable disk quotas for UFS options MD_ROOT # MD is a potential root device uname -a FreeBSD hostname 9.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 9.2-RELEASE #0 r255898: Thu Sep 26 22:50:31 UTC 2013 root@bake.isc.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 Best regards.
