Subject:   how to tell "ls" output date in digital

I remember that "ls" can output date in digital like following format
before

=20

-rw-r--r--  1 user  Domain Users    54323 2010-09-08 14:12 crash.log

=20

Instead of           Sep 08 2010 or   Sep 08 11:07

=20

But I cannot find any option or ENV to do this under FreeBSD (6.X-R).

Does anyone have knowledge about this possibility?
