We = seek a senior software/firmware engineer who is passionate about and profes= sionally committed to system security development. We seek a world-class BIOS security expert. The winning candidate will take a leading role in ensuring the resiliency a= nd integrity of Juniper's boot firmware for the Junos OS and embedded Linux= -based systems, so all security requirements are fulfilled. Lead the development of BIOS and boot firmware for the next generation of J= uniper devices. Implement secure boot and measured boot to exceed industry = best practice. Ensure that BIOS and boot firmware is free of obvious vulner= abilities, unnecessary functionality, and dangerous defaults -- the winning= implementations will be resistant to adversaries with a high attack potent= ial. Review boot firmware for shipping products, and recommend security enh= ancements and workarounds as appropriate. Develop countermeasures against a= ttacks that abuse the System Management Mode (SMM) on Intel platforms. Ensu= re the smooth delivery of boot firmware into manufacturing and the Juniper = customer base. Engage with BIOS suppliers, diverse product teams, and -- wh= en necessary -- executive and customers audiences that need to understand t= he importance of boot security. Actively participate in open source and sta= ndards communities in support of Juniper's interests and the security inter= ests of the broader Internet community. Engagement with one or more of the = following is expected: the Trusted Computing Group (TCG), the UEFI standard= , GRUB2, u-boot, Core Boot, or the IETF.
