Don't get V.3 of DNS and BIND as it is out of date.. get V.4. It includes
BIND V.9 information. ;)

Bear one thing in mind, seriously, a huge number of name-server
configuration problems are caused by typing mistakes...believe me
I know :).

If you get seriously interested the classic book is the O'Reilly book,
"DNS and BIND", but that maybe information overload for a basic setup.
(Interesting book though). Make sure you get the 3rd Edition if you buy
it.

Mmm, although there is version 9 now, humph.
I don't know how much things have changed since 8.
