I am wondering if anyone has done to use the optimization flags to compile Gnome2? Like, use "-03 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" or something else. It seems, it's a little slow when I click on the menu, open and etc. My box is 464Mhz and 384mb ram. gnome-terminal uses a lot of cpu, is it normal? Right now, it just has two tabs then I ran top and can see gnome-terminal is loading around 70% of cpu. Gedit, gaim and etc run a lot lower than gnome-terminal. 561 mezz 122 0 16804K 11516K RUN 7:40 72.85% 72.85% gnome-terminal BTW: Gnome2 went so smooth http://mezzweb.com:81/images/Screenshot.png , so CVS version of gaim too. I installed CVS version of gaim yesterday. Thanks for port Gnome2! ;-) Cheers, Mezz _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-gnome" in the body of the message
