While that may be the problem, it is supposed to try one and then the=20
other. All my machines use either key with no problems. Cvsuped 8 days=20
ago, maybe something changed since then.

I've also experienced this. Upon inspection of /etc/ssh/sshd=5Fconfig, the
default:
Protocol 1,2
In pre 4.4-STABLE systems is now:
Protocol 2,1
If you want to go back to the old ssh behaviour, un-comment:
#Protocol 2,1
and change the order of 2,1 to 1,2.

Hi,
with 4.4-STABLE 010929, ssh seems to work unexpectedly - even when I
have my public key in the target machine's authorized=5Fkeys, ssh aks me
for a password (breaks a lot of scripts).
