Hello All,

I'm having trouble getting Samba working. I've read the How-To and FAQ on
the Samba site. My current question is when I do a "smbstatus", I get the
following response:

"Couldn't open status file /var/spool/lock/STATUS..LCK"

The file does not exist. When I originally installed SAMBA it was on a UP
kernel. I've since rebuilt the kernel and added SMP support, could this be
the problem?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris
