What kind of benchmarks should we tell people to run, though? I hear bonnie is pretty good for network benchmarking. Perhaps BYTE magazine's Unix benchmarks would be good, although last time I couldn't get them to work under Linux because it depends on behavior of the shell and utilities such as /bin/time that is neither BSD nor System V.
