Hello.. we recently got a Exabyte EZ17 Changer and Mammoth2 tape drive. We are trying to get the changer to work with amanda. However we get errors when any attempt to change to the next slot is made. # mt status Present Mode: Density = 0x28 Blocksize variable Comp 0 ---------available modes--------- Mode 0: Density = 0x00 Blocksize variable Mode 1: Density = X3.136-1986 Blocksize = 512 bytes Mode 2: Density = X3.39-1986 Blocksize variable Mode 3: Density = X3.54-1986 Blocksize variable # chio status picker 0: slot 0: <ACCESS> slot 1: <ACCESS> slot 2: <ACCESS> slot 3: <ACCESS> slot 4: <ACCESS> slot 5: <ACCESS> slot 6: <ACCESS> drive 0: <FULL> Dmesg output is: ahc0 <Adaptec 2940 Ultra SCSI host adapter> rev 1 int a irq 10 on pci0:9:0 ahc0: aic7880 Wide Channel, SCSI Id=7, 16 SCBs ahc0 waiting for scsi devices to settle (ahc0:0:0): "EXABYTE Exabyte EZ17 1.07" type 8 removable SCSI 2 ch0(ahc0:0:0): Medium-Changer 7 slots, 1 drive, 1 picker (ahc0:1:0): "EXABYTE Mammoth2 v02r" type 1 removable SCSI 2 st0(ahc0:1:0): Sequential-Access density code 0x28, 1024-byte blocks, write-enabled # chio params /dev/ch0: 7 slots, 1 drive, 1 picker /dev/ch0: current picker: 0 # chio move slot 3 drive 0 chio: /dev/ch0: CHIOMOVE: Invalid argument any attempt to move gives the above error.
