This is a pretty busy list; I get about 100 messages a day, more or
less.

I have had this very configuration running for quite some time. It's
even under 3.3, which you had originally mentioned. (Why 3.3? because
that was the latest-n-greatest when the machine was last booted. :^) I'd
be happy to send you any config files you might need. BTW, I am *not* a
professional unix geek, just an EE who has programmed a microcontroller
or two back in the day.  Let's not talk about IBM 360s and 370s :^)

There is a thing called WebMin which I *think* has this functionality; 
never used it myself.  It's not included in the plain-vanilla
distribution, but it's in the ports collection. 

[Side note: the ports collection really *is* the greatest thing since
sliced bread. If you wanted to install webmin, for example, it's a
three-step process: 1) cd /usr/ports/sysutils/webmin 2) make install 3)
have lunch, and then it will be done.]
