This is with the Total Control Hub and a NetServer card running the latest
code... My radiusd is from the ports collection and spits out the
following with the "-v" flag:

Merit RADIUS 2.4.23C, licensed software
Copyright (c) 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 by The
Regents of the University of Michigan and Merit Network, Inc.
Version 2.4.23C ASCEND(limited) NOSHADOW (?? or so it says)

Did you download yours directly from Livingston and patch it yourself?
Perhaps the difference is there... I'm cc-ing the port maintainer,
perhaps he has some ideas.
