Make sure your gateway doesn't appear as part of the ed0 network.  Check
netstat -rn.

If you're doing with with ipfw, it's a matter of finding the appropriate
port ranges and enabling forwarding on those, but I'm not sure with ppp.
Check the mail archvies.
