You can find online information about FreeBSD online at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/ . A good book for beginners is "Learning the Unix Operating System" by O'Reilly and associates. If you are learning FreeBSD then you _ARE_ learning unix. FreeBSD is a unix operating system. If you want to learn unix/FreeBSD then dive in. The learning curve is steep. You will have to do some reading. It is well worth it. I was a complete unix newbie two years ago. Now I use FreeBSD almost exclusively. Have fun, | Stop warning me about the latest virus.
