Sometimes I by mistake cat a binary file to the console. It then goes into an "alternative" charset, so everything afterwards is unreadable gibberish. Sometimes (mostly on *inux) the tabsetting is also screwed up. A xterm can also be ruined this way. Is there a way to _completely_ reset a vty? Logging out and in doesn't help. "clear" doesn't work either. Leif Neland leifn@internet.dk To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
