It seems that no one really has any objections to moving the log file. These would the locations to change(find | grep /var/log) src/usr.sbin/cron/cron/config.h src/usr.sbin/cron/doc/CHANGES (src/usr.sbin/cron/doc/CHANGES.FreeBSD a la xntpd?) src/etc/Makefile src/etc/newsyslog.conf src/etc/syslog.conf Plus a line in Updating.
