Well, I have used several new floppy disks, and I have copied kern.flp from several different ftp sites, always in bin mode, and just used dd to copy it over to my floppy drive. Actually, I can't even boot off of my old 3.3 kern.flp, so I'm pretty sure this a hardware problem on my part. I'm suspicious that my CPU might be damaged, do you think that a damaged CPU could prevent me from booting off of a floppy as described? Thanks.
