Just for the record, what is the deal with the WinModems? While I've parrotted this same line that they're bad, I gotta admit...I don't know why. None of my machines currently have one. (Sigh...I want a new laptop.) I've heard vague references to slower, different, blah,... but I'm not clear on what the problem really is with these. When the boss gets a new laptop and I tell him to buy a modem in addition to the one that's built-in, he's going to want to know why!
