No. First of all, it should just be a satellite port. Then forget about the history. If it's a satellite port the repository history should NOT be copied. It is NOT the same thing, nor is it logically or semantically a descendent of the given port; it is a new port which adds on to an existing port, does not contain the functionality of the inherited port proper, and should not be regarded as such. The only "history" a satellite port should contain as its own, which includes an implicit or explit reference in revision 1.1 of the port which it inherits. A given port needs its own history, not that of its dependencies. > -- > Will Andrews <andrewsw@purdue.edu> <will@FreeBSD.org> > GCS/E/S @d- s+:+ a--- C++ UB++++$ P+ L- E--- W+ N-- !o ?K w--- > O- M+ V- PS+ PE++ Y+ PGP+>+++ t++ 5 X+ R+ tv+ b++ DI+++ D+ > G++ e>++++ h! r- y? -- Brian Fundakowski Feldman \ FreeBSD: The Power to Serve! / green@FreeBSD.org `------------------------------' To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
