Morning all ... I've been trying to get FreeBSD to go SMP on this box for ages now ... since *BSD isn't supported by IBM, I got one of our linux guys over here to help me out ... we created an SMP boot floppy, to see if we'd get a hang using it, and we didn't *but*, it did give us a warning: WARNING: MP table in the EBDA can be UNSAFE does this mean anything to anyone? As part of the Linux boot sequence, it also told us: Intel MultiProcessor Specifications v1.4 VirtualWire Compatibility mode. if that also means anything? Marc G.
