I have no idea whether your patch would be considered worthwhile or not. The fact that it has been ignored twice does not necessarily indicate that it is unwanted but I would doubt that it is considered a priority item. If I were you I would re-submit your patch using send-pr (in any one of its many forms) so that it can be tracked properly and is sitting in a database (rather than a mail archive) until someone gets around to processing it. There may well be technical reasons why all requests are sent to www.freebsd.org (like...maybe not all mirrors host/allow the cgi required to operate the send-pr system) or it may be that the reduction in traffic would not actually be worth the effort.
