I just installed CURRENT and so far everything still works, and that is nice. But I have been installing a lot of stuff too from the ports collection. I was building XFree86 in one window and PostgreSQL in the other. It turns out that PostgreSQL has X as a dependency and I was using "make install distclean". This caused my X build to get clobbered. Is there a workaround for this? Could bsd.port.mk be taught not to clobber stuff that is being built?
