Hello! Just installed an Adaptec 2940 U/UW on my Linux (2.0.32) system. I havn't installed ANY harddrives to the scsi bus yet. Heres what the kernel says about it: <Adaptec AHA-294X Ultra SCSI host adapter> at PCI 11 Warning - detected auto-termination. Please verify driver detected settings and use manual termination if necessary. BIOS enabled, IO Port 0x5000, IO Mem 0x80000000, IRQ 11, Revision B Wide Channel, SCSI ID 7, 16/16 SCBs, QFull 16, QMask 0x1f scsi0 : Adaptec AHA274x/284x/294x (EISA/VLB/PCI-Fast SCSI) 4.1/3.2 scsi : 1 host. scsi0: Scanning channel A for devices. scsi : detected total. I assume the Warning will go away when I actually install some scsi harddrives...? Are there any web sites about aic7xxx and Linux ? I'm wondering if there is anything I should configure on the 2940 to make things work better with Linux...or default settings work the best. Thanks, Matthew
